  • The Favorite Aunt’s Guide to Gifting the Best (& Educational!) Toys This Holiday

The holidays are coming up and not only do I have four of my own children to shop for, but I also have my nieces and nephews to shop for as well! With so many kids and such varying interests, it can be overwhelming trying to find the perfect gift they don’t already have. Thankfully, Two Elephants takes the guesswork out of it for you!

Two Elephants offers electronic learning toys, more traditional wooden toys, and sports & outdoor play toys. Two Elephants’s toys are developmentally appropriate, but are also fun and engaging, like the Kids Explorer Kit. The kids in my life range from ages 1-8, which is pretty broad, but once I saw the toys, I knew there would be a match for everyone! Let’s check out some of the great things we found.

    For The Littles

A great toy for younger children that will make them feel like one of the big kids is this Little Lens Digital Camera. Designed for ages 3 and up, the small size is perfect for little hands, and the simple operating style allows kids to take photos and play games. It comes with a lanyard for carrying, an SD card, plus a USB converter so you can transfer photos to a computer with ease, turning this fun toy into a lasting hobby!

My sister’s youngest just turned one, and this little Montessori Quiet Book will be so much fun for him to play with! It’s perfect for traveling and teaching him useful fine motor skills. As he grows, it will become even more educational by reinforcing foundational skills.

    For the School-Aged Kids

This Montessori Fishing Game might seem like it’s for younger kids, but it’s all in the way you use it! It’s a great challenge in hand-eye coordination for the little ones, but for those who are older, it’s an easy way to incorporate some math skills by turning the numbered fish into equations for a more complex game. Kids will be having so much fun trying to “fish” that they won’t even realize how much they’re learning!

For kids who like to get creative while building, this unique Educational Build-a-Garden Set will be so much fun for them to put together! They can use it indoors or outdoors, and all of the little pieces will provide endless opportunities to build and play. Each of my children was very engaged with this toy despite their differences in age and gender.

    For the Bigger Kids

This set of Kids Walkie-Talkies is my favorite gift that we discovered! Both my sister and my husband’s sister live within a mile of us, and since these have up to a 3-mile radius, this set is perfect for the cousins to communicate with. I took one to my sister’s house at the other end of town and we were thrilled to discover that we could actually hear each other clearly!

This Chess Set is great for beginners. This game will certainly help develop a child’s sense of logic and cognitive learning, but the cartoon pieces make it much less intimidating than a traditional chess set. It comes with nice big pieces that pack up into little bags, and there are instructions that make it easy to get started. It’s also a great way to spend some quality time together!

    For Everyone

One last toy that everyone, adults included, is sure to enjoy is this Giant Jelly Balloon Ball! You can fill this ball to the max with air and lay on it, roll it, or toss it, and it won’t pop. When the weather is warm, you can even fill it with water! I doubt many people have one of these, and who wouldn’t love a chance to try it out?

    The Verdict

No matter what age you are shopping for, there is something for everyone at Two Elephants! They offer a range of unique gifts for all ages and a variety of toys that will help the children in your life learn and grow while they play.
